Is 2 hours and 39 mins enough to clear customs, recheck bags, and TSA?
Like the title says, this is my current flight; however, I am worried that 2 hours and 39 mins will not be enough time to clear customs, grab and recheck my bags, and then clearing TSA again at LAX? I was hoping to let Xiamen airlines know I have a really tight connection so I would be able to get off first and run over.
The other option right now is basically the same flight except with a 12 hour layover. I really don't want to do this because extra time spent, and since it's night time I heard the lounges are all closed so I would have to get a hotel, which I'm seeing are all $200+.
Would my current flight be doable? I know it will be really tight and it's safer to take the longer layover, but if the current flight is reasonably doable then that would be great!
