Renting a C8 for the Weekend
Looking for advice and what to expect,
For our tenth anniversary the wife and I booked a get away for a few days just a short drive out of the city. We’ve rented cars on our travels before and I figured it would be fun to get something on the higher end,
I had a $100 Turo credit, and looked to see if a luxury car to drive was available to rent for the trip. Next thing you know I’ve got a ‘25 C8 booked. I plan to pick it up on the way out, drive us to a few planned dates, back and forth to the hotel, and then drop it off on our way back,
For context, I’m 42 years old, good driving record, I drive company vehicles 30-40k miles yearly in one of the busiest metropolitan areas of the country. Without question I’m committed to drive like the pope the entire trip in this thing. The kids need us back in one piece after all. I’ll have about 15 minutes of drive time in it, before I pick up the wife up.
How can I make the best of this, in terms of making it a memorable part of the trip, and make it purely something that was fun and interesting to drive the wife around in on our anniversary? Really open to whatever you guys can suggest. It’s too late to cancel the res!
