Hi! We just bought a snall fig tree, and as you can see, it has many small branches coming from its base. I would like to have a tree that has one big trunk, splitting in (around) 3 big branches. each with plenty of smaller branches (see the crude drawing for the general idea without the smaller branches). We just repotted the tree from the pot we bought it in.

Where would I need to prune to achieve this?

Is it still ok to prune now, or better to wait until autumn, winter, or early spring?
