Earlier today may tumawag sakin regarding my UB credit card. The person knows my full name, home address, birthday, and the last 4 digits of my card. They said there's a new protocol wherein papalitan nila ang physical card for more safety. The change includes credit limit increase and the annual fee will be waived—here's where I got really suspicious.
I asked if they emailed me about this. The person said yes, around early 2026 daw. Hindi na ako naniniwala from here, but sinakyan ko nalang. The person told me to get my card so they can confirm my details daw. Instead, I asked to hold the call so I can check my email and confirm. And, of course, walang email. I told the person that there's no email, and they quickly dropped the call LOL.
Whoscall app is installed on my phone, but it didn't note the number as a scammer at first probably because it wasn't my default "phone" app. Anyway, I locked my card and will report this to UB.
Sobrang compromised na talaga ng data natin. Ingat kayo sa scammers!
