I’ve spent a lot of time looking at why people don’t see results from skincare—and it’s not what most people think. Across dermatology practices, med spas, and solo providers, I keep seeing the same pattern:
Clients leave with a solid plan… and don’t follow it consistently.
Not because they don’t care.
Not because the plan is wrong.
There’s just no structure between visits.
No visibility into what they’re actually doing at home.
No system to support consistency.
And that gap shows up as:
- plateaued results
- lower retail performance
- fewer rebookings
The industry has optimized treatments really well.
But what happens between appointments is still largely unmanaged.
Curious how others are thinking about this.
