Hey everyone,

I'm in my mid thirties and looking for a career change. These last couple years I've moved away from the trades and have found myself doing more office based work and enjoying it. I love organising stuff, fixing problems and providing solutions to stuff. I've got a few mates who are coders and some who are transitioning pretty rapidly in to AI based roles. A couple of them suggested vibe coding would be a good avenue for someone like me who has never worked in tech but has my 'skillsets' and likes doing the stuff i listed above.

So, I had a look on reddit and downloaded Claude. I've used ChatGPT for a fair bit of work recently relating to some properties I have, some legal stuff relating to them and just general life stuff so kind of got a basic appreciation for giving it prompts and stuff and trying to seperate the good from the bad advice.

However, I have no idea where to get started with Claude. I've asked it to teach me how to vibe code, start with a small easy project and build something small and usable so that I can see the process and make something that I probably will never use again, but just so I know the basics of what I'm doing and start to learn from the ground-up, kind of like you'd expect the structure of a 'Vibe Coding 101' course at college or night school to be. This is where I'm struggling, I feel like I'm trying to teach Claude how to teach me and we're just ending in a loop of frustration.

Are there any structured courses available that you guys are aware of, any follow-along tutorials on youtube, do any of you do introductory learning classes online?

I'm a firm believer in investing in myself if I see a benefit down the line. I'm willing to do that with this, but right now it feels like I'm getting absolutely nowhere.

Cheers for reading
