I published my first book on April 27th!
The setup: Twenty years ago the gods descended. Not metaphorically — physically. The continents merged into one landmass in eleven days, four billion people died, and the survivors woke up to a System that tracks worship like a resource. Gods are present, politically dominant, and need faith the way a body needs blood. The people who refused to register — the Godless — are classified as unregistered labor assets and distributed across ungoverned zones.
The protagonist: Kael woke up in a convergence field with no memory, no history, and a System profile the System itself flags as an error. His origin is one of the book's central mysteries. What he has: a Null-type Flux (8th recorded in twenty years), abilities the System can't categorize, and a complete inability to sleep.
He joins a group of Godless veterans — Nomads who've been surviving without divine backing for two decades — and tries to figure out what he is before the gods do.
The System voice: Footnotes that argue with themselves. Notifications that get edited mid-sentence. A System that insists it is processing Kael's existence efficiently and professionally, and has now said this six times in the same session.
It's in Kindle Unlimited. First-person. Five primary divine factions including Olympian, Norse, Egyptian, Hindu and The Wild Court — a mix of smaller pantheons grouping together for survival — , seventeen surviving New Gods hiding in the margins, and a power gap between mortals and divine champions that the group survives by working around rather than through.
