Prey drive within the pack
As title states one of my dogs has prey drive within the pack, and it's gotten to the point I don't know what to do anymore.
He is a lab/pit mix 52lbs and our smallest dog out of 6. We have 5 acres for context in the country backwoods. He is only 15mos and has been doing this since he was 6 mos old.
All dogs wear e collars except our seniors.
Every single time we let him outside he will immediately charge and attack one of the dogs. They all go out together. I've had to shock, vibrate ect. I've leashed him. I've now had to muzzle him as he has caused great harm to my danes knee. Tore all the way past muscle to the bone.
He has also stalked and cornered our 16yr old husky mix into another room before attacking inside the house several times.
We've sedated, leashed, trusted him and again it happens. The vet advised euthanasia and we have talked about it, because we couldn't rehome him with confidence. We also have 4 small children in the house and this makes us extremely uneasy.
Any advice is welcome because we are at a loss.
