newbie please help me!!

I am a total rookie really needing some advice on a project!!
I have an upcoming exhibition and I am wanting to programme a light to flash behind some paper. I have been trying to figure out with chat GPT what I need but it keeps changing and I don’t trust its advice so hoping someone can help me.
I have bought a 5V USB LED puck, that I want to flash at programmed intervals (not consistent). I have bought an Arduino UNO R3 to use to programme the sequence of flashing I need and have downloaded the software, but how to connect this all up, I am at a loss. I have jumper wires, a breadboard, MOSFET, but I don’t know how to connect this up or if this set up would work? Do I need another light? Can i cut wires to connect it? What tools do I need?
Desperately needing some help if anyone could point me in the right direction for a tutorial or somewhere to get advice i’d be so grateful.
