A friend of mine stumbled upon a facebook account that had THOUSANDS of recordings of tenants from the building that i live in (including myself). The man recording lives in a house directly across from the back entrance of my building and who I assume practically lives on his Shark Camera and facebook due to the amount of videos posted in a day. Now, I have a dog and I’m always at the back of my building with him but now knowing i’m going to be recorded and berated for simply existing and POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA, i’m extremely uncomfortable.
In these videos, the man is constantly complaining about people doing regular shit. Just existing. Walking their dogs past his house. And I literally mean just walking past…… In one video, he got the balls to confront a tiny, older woman and her little dog who peed between his yard and the alleyway. He called her a “fucking asshole” and threatened to take her dog. Since he is also pretty close to our community trash bin, he records everyone throwing their trash away while insulting them behind his window. in almost every video I’ve clicked on, he is cursing at everyone, making racist remarks towards Indian and Indigenous people, calling people vile names. And for some odd reason he loves shit talking people with their children too.
One incident that bothers me more than him secretly recording me and my dog, is him making fun of and recording everything a 71 year old lady with dementia does. She lives diagonally across the street from this guy. She isn’t bothering anybody by the things she’s doing in the videos I’ve seen. He even recorded her talking to another neighbour about how he harasses her and stated shes the one looking for problems. In another video (sorry to keep referring to ANOTHER video, but i’m telling you there are 16,000 posts…) he even calls her “fucking r*t*rded” while all she’s doing is moving ice blocks from her yard to a tree. A man from her house has even confronted him and told him to stop harassing this poor lady and he continues to do so. The last post he made of her was 1 hour ago as of writing this post. Even the garbagemen have issues with this prick ! How do you start problems with the garbageman!
The old me would gladly go over there myself but we know he will immediately have a camera up in my face, ready to call the police for “trespassing”.
SO, WITH ALL THAT SAID, can somebody please help me figure out what I can do? If anything at all! Is making a report worthwhile? Should I speak to anyone else? Can he even get in trouble for the shit he’s doing? Any advice is appreciated
