So I had an interview at NYC H+H yesterday. They questioned my commute, and I mentioned I am looking for a place in the city. I would be open to staying in the city then traveling back home if I were to work multiple days in a row. Other than that, I feel the interview went smoothly. She agreed that she knows a few people who commute from NJ.
Before the interview ended, I mentioned the pre-planned trip. She then started mentioning how they give people a chance, and time and time again people resign. I reiterated my commitment to jobs as seen on my resume. Unfortunately the training would coincide with the time I would be on vacation.
I've had a couple of other interviews, but this was the only hospital. And honestly, I felt like I would see and learn so much at this hospital. I know everyone wants to sell that they are a family. She had someone who was still training tag along, and she kept reiterating times when she felt comfortable asking for help or mention to her preceptor things she wanted to accomplish that week. Maybe I'm a sucker, but I felt they were genuine. I sent a follow-up email thanking her for the interview.
And now I'm just feeling a bit meh. She told me to give 6 weeks for a decision. So now I guess I just have to pick myself up and continue applying.
