Plumbing company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plumbing Mechanic to join our team. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial mechanical services across New York City. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can navigate the complexities of NYC building codes, work independently on job sites, and deliver exceptional craftsmanship on every project—from routine maintenance to complex installations.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain domestic water, gas, waste, and vent systems in residential and commercial settings.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and mechanical failures.

Perform rough-ins and finishes for renovations, including kitchen and bathroom remodels.

Install and service boilers, water heaters, and secondary HVAC components.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) codes and safety standards.

Troubleshooting: The ability to trace lines and identify systemic issues in pre-war and modern NYC buildings.

Tool Fluency: Knowledge of industry-standard tools, including hydro-jetters, drain snakes, and specialized diagnostic cameras.

Professionalism: Strong communication skills for interacting with building managers and residents, and a disciplined approach to documentation and job-site cleanliness.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of professional plumbing experience in New York City.

Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and navigate NYC job sites (including stairs).
