I’m starting to look into getting Mexican citizenship through my father and wanted to hear from people who’ve already gone through it.
From what I understand, the main requirement is proving your father was born in Mexico but beyond that, things seem to get a bit confusing.
I’ve seen people mention issues like:
Name mismatches between documents
Missing or hard-to-find birth certificates
Different requirements depending on the consulate
Unexpected delays even when everything seems correct
For those who successfully applied through their father:
What was the hardest part for you?
And is there anything you wish you knew before starting?
Trying to avoid common mistakes early, so any real experiences would really help
