i don't listen to much of either. i read, a while ago, a short article extolling the virtues of interpreting jazz as a performance, which makes some sense to me. i lack solfege, but intuitively grasp - having read 10 pages of music theory - the idea of classical composers writing something that does not behave as they think, if they make a mistake (let's take the banal example of notating something wrong, though i have a very thin notion of resolving dissonance). can the same be said of jazz, and if so then what truly separates the two, other than specific classical theory and canons?

out now on Hibernian Leather . . . Compound Bunker - 'Supplement: Facility Datalog'

An artifact from the facility. A broken tether to obsolete proprietary hardware. This nondescript data cassette presents a theorised sequence of occurrences. Truth’s frozen shadow.

This supplemental release is a direct companion piece to “Terminal Burrowing” and should be considered a retelling of the events described within.

might sound like a stupid question. you would think someone that received a wav in the post, boosted the bass and converted to flac was just insane. i think if you don't make it available without the artist's foreknowledge, then it's an amusing collaboration with your stereo system. does that make me a bad person??
