Suggestions for trees...

I have an area along a neighbor fence that has a wall of Graceful Bamboo as a screen for privacy. It's a large area, probably close to 100 feet.

I would like to plant some large trees in front of the bamboo so that the bamboo becomes more of an unimportant green backdrop. It's full sun with the sun rising behind the 'green wall' and pretty much hitting the area all day until late.

I want stuff that's good for wildlife, preferably native, and a range of eventual mature heights.

Right now I'm leaning towards a mix of Longleaf Pine, Black Gum/Tupelo, and Red Mulberry.

I don't want anything that is going to aggressively seed or root sucker even if it's a native. I've had to remove several Carolina Cherry Laurels for this reason in another area. Hurricane resistance is also a consideration which is why Red Maple is not on the list. It's a fairly open area. I want it to have an 'edge of the forest' feel to it. I don't mind the pine cones or similar, I just don't want the Carolina Cherry Laurel situation of a bazillion seedlings everywhere.
