Converting Roof Space into office
Just reaching out if anyone has had any experience with Converting a Roof Cavity into an office/convertible guest bedroom. I want to know how feasible the idea is and what the process would look like.
I have a 56m2 1 bed/1 bath single storey unit in Grey Lynn. My partner and I are dual income no kids. her job is monday to friday hybrid and as a result the dining table becomes her desk. I am shift worker so when we’re both home it feels like we get in each other’s way.
The unit is a cross lease however the other owners are super non problematic and don’t have issues with the idea but unsure how feasible it would be. The heighest point in the roof cavity is 2.1m.
I note there may be issues around privacy of other properties if we install a skylight or window(s). Our neighbours are blocked by fully grown trees.
