(Higher quality post because the last one had horrible quality. Sorry Photopea, but you let me down.)
First real post on the sub!
Based on an ending I got in Hope -
After a turbulent four years under Bush, Howard Dean was elected with the promise to steer the nation back on course and refocus the fight on Bin Laden and his band of extremists.
However, after barely taking office and wrestling with a republican majority in the house, Dean's attempts at a clean exit from Iraq faltered, and the friendly regime ended up collapsing within weeks of the American exit.
Condoleezza Rice, once firm on her commitment not to run for president, saw the turmoil and allowed it to change her heart. The country needed steadying. And Bin Laden, as well as the various terrors responsible for the pain the country had gone through the past eight years, had to be stopped.
Her election came somewhat commanding. Many thought the nation wasn't ready for a female or African-American president.. but she proved them incorrect.
