I’m desperate at this point. I feel like my face is ruined and I’m struggling mentally. I have extremely asymmetrical face, I’ve lost a lot of weight recently and now i can see how bad it is. The left side of my face is sunken
When i was 14, I had a left back molar pulled then given a ceramic tooth retainer. Dentist said my teeth would shift if I didn’t wear it. A year later, a kid broke it at school and my mom couldn’t afford to get a new one. Forgot about it. The gap has slowly gotten smaller but still very open.
Have to switch my jaw over to the left constantly. My bite is completely disconnected when it’s in the correct position. Even my pallet is lopsided when I mew.
Now I cry and fixate about it when I look in the mirror, I have to refuse to have my photo taken.
Few weeks ago, I finally got the courage to see an orthodontist to see about getting Invisalign to fix my bite. They did a few ex-rays and a quick exam and said they could fix my teeth and bite. Shift my teeth back to up the gap and get an implant put in.
Offer was $7,200 with a promotional $1000 off so $6,200. I could do payment plan, $200 down and $200 a month. I could budget out for it. I’m looking into getting a new dental plan to get some of it covered. Im willing to commit even if i have to work two jobs again.
Any recommendations? Advice about insurance? Realistic expectations? Testimonials?
