I've successfully used both Uncle Bens bags and specialized bags of sterilized grain which come with self healing injection ports and gas exchange filters and achieved identical results with both. The only difference I saw was that using Uncle Bens increased risk of contamination due to the necessity of opening the bag up to their air in order to inject and create gas exchange.

So my question is why ever use Uncle Bens instead of specialized grain bags?
