Just bought 22-in table top Blackstone and need some guidance

Just finished assembling the 22-in Blackstone tabletop griddle. Looks great I'm very excited to try it out but there is one thing that I find completely unacceptable. The lid is pretty useless as anything but a dust cover.

It doesn't appear to be the same as what I saw on the video. Not understanding why that is. It's so shallow when closeed that it won't cover much more than a pancake. With the grease trap attached it doesn't hang very well from the back using the little built-in hooks.

Anybody have a good recommendation for an alternative lid or some other adaptation that'll make this a more useful cover for actual cooking?
