Swim lessons for kids

Hey Cville! We’ve been doing swim lessons for my kids at the YMCA for years. (Ages 6yr, 3.5yr, and 14mths). I’ve hit a wall - my oldest hasn’t progressed very far in her 3 years of lessons. She loves them. She is comfortable in the water. But she can’t tread water, hold her head up, swim to the bottom, or move herself more than a foot.

Where do you recommend for lessons? We’ve been at the Y because we are members and it’s affordable, but the Parks and Rec seems affordable too. Anybody used those? Any private people you know who has access to a pool that could help us at reasonably comparable prices?

My kids love the water, but we homeschool, and I can’t take all 3 to the pool safely without more water safety knowledge on my olders’ parts. I don’t trust water. I was on the swim team myself, and am a comfortable and strong swimmer - I just don’t know how to teach young kids. Help appreciated!

TL;DR - swim lesson recs for kids 6 and younger, comparable in price to the YMCA, private accepted with pool access. How’s parks and rec?
