Which retro games still hold up and would be great if released today, not just "great for their time"?

Hi! I have a Galaxy S25, which has no SD card slot, and thus space is at a premium for me. I'm struggling with the ~2GB overhead to install even a tiny game due to the one container per game rule.
I was thinking that a simple workaround would be to install Steam in a container and use it to download my various games to that container, then keep a custom config for when I want to play each one. But I'm now wondering: is there proper native support for this functionality as part of GameNative? (Or alternatively, is there a reason why it wouldn't work?)
