I almost had my Gmail account hacked by a very elaborate scam.

I received a very well-crafted email from someone named Namya Rastogi, Brand Partnerships Manager at Skillshare, email address: <team@shareskills.sbs>. .sbs, not.com but I didn't see that at the beginning.
The email was very realistic, a perfectly logical response to my own followed, with a link to a website that also seemed perfectly legitimate.

However, I became suspicious because of the requests to share YouTube data, so I contacted Skillshare support and here is their reply:

"Hi there,

I'm Lezly, and I work on the Support Team at Skillshare.

Please be advised that our emails will always come from u/skillshare.com. Therefore, the email you received was not sent by us. It appears to be an impersonation attempt or a phishing email. For your safety, we advise you not to provide any personal information in response to that email.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Thank you!"

Be careful, more than ever about fake propositions...
