My 72 year old dad was just diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. They might remove his prostate however, he has been having hip pain and they are afraid it might spread. He is waiting for a PET scan I believe. Here are his stats

PSA 171
Prostate, right base, needle core biopsy:
Prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 4+3 = 7 (grade group 3), involving 2 biopsy fragments and nearly 100% of the tissue (discontinuous).
Perineural invasion is present.

2.  Prostate, right mid, needle core biopsy:
Prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 4+4 = 8 (grade group 4), involving 1 biopsy fragment and 80% of the tissue (discontinuous).

3.  Prostate, right apex, needle core biopsy:
Prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 4+4 = 8 (grade group 4), involving 2 biopsy fragments and 80% of the tissue.

4.  Prostate, left base, needle core biopsy:
Prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 3+3 = 6 (grade group 1), involving multiple biopsy fragments and 10% of the tissue (discontinuous).
A focus suspicious for angiolymphatic space involvement is present.

5.  Prostate, left mid, needle core biopsy:
Focal prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 4+4 = 8 (grade group 4), involving 1 biopsy fragment and <5% of the tissue.

6.  Prostate, left apex, needle core biopsy:
Prostatic adenocarcinoma, Gleason score 4+4 = 8 (grade group 4), involving 2 biopsy fragments and 50% of the tissue (discontinuous).
A focus suspicious for angiolymphatic space involvement is present.

Anyone have experience with what this all could mean for the future or any advice? I hope this is appropriate to post here. I don’t really know what I am looking for posting here. Thanks for reading even if you don’t respond.
