The supposed discovery of a new island
Recent scientific reports have announced the "discovery" of a new island off the coast of Antarctica. Yet this land is far from being unknown, as it matches the territory of the Kingdom of New Sørlandet since its founding in 1911 by Norwegian explorers. Originally established to support the maritime navigation and scientific research of the time, it ended up seeking further autonomy under the hands of Maud of Wales and later under the House of Glücksburg. The kingdom has endured isolation for over a century. It is time for New Sørlandet to reclaim its historic sovereignty over a land it has long owned. Our goals are to replace the newly designed flag of New Sørlandet over the island to avoid it from being voided as simple terra nullius.
