I'm currently hosting a server with some of my irl's, but I thought that having a few more people maybe around 5 would be good. We are around the Maryland area so (est timezone), and currently play mostly on Saturday and Sundays. However, when summer hits will be on a lot more frequent.

It's also important for me to say, we are planning on taking this slow. We understand how big greg tech is and in no way or form are rushing it. I've already set up the server to scale, long term and have planned the infrastructure on that side of things. I'm thinking 2 years, likely.

If age is a worry then it should be noted everyone is: 20 - 23.

If you'd like the IP, message me on reddit.

Before I start my rundown, here’s some background information:

I graduated in 2024, a year early, with a degree in Computer Technology/Engineering that combined both fields. I thought that by working hard and graduating early, I’d have a chance to start my career sooner. I knew I generally wanted to work in networking, so after graduation, I earned my Network+ certification. I went to job fairs, connected with people, and kept trying to put myself out there, but ultimately, nothing came from it. I’d even see some of my peers there too, all looking.

A year passed, and I ended up becoming a teacher while paying for my master’s degree in Cloud Engineering. During that time, I also earned my Security+ certification, and I’m now studying for the CCNA.

Rundown:

Currently, I’ve been trying to make my resume unique for each job. I include relevant experience when I have it, and when I don’t, I add projects that directly relate to the position. On ZipRecruiter, I’m getting likes, views, emails, and even surprise calls while I’m at work. However, nothing has turned into an actual opportunity yet. I’ve mainly been applying to Help Desk, Network/Cabling Technician, Data Analyst, Data Center, and IT Support roles.

Experience would be wonderful, but it’s becoming incredibly hard to get any. I’m 23 now, and I can’t help but feel a bit bitter about my situation. I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing wrong, and I’d really appreciate any insight or clarity.

Yes, I know that getting a master’s in Cloud Engineering may seem useless in hindsight, but it’s a subject I genuinely enjoy, and it helps fill knowledge gaps for me.
