Temperatures are touching 44 degrees in many places. Govt institutions are allowing cutting down trees for many projects, we are building concrete roads, we are thinking of building huge data centers for AI & we are in the forever loop. When the heat goes up, we turn on the AC, AC emits CFC gases, we use more electricity, electricity is currently generated primarily via coal so we burn coal for it and release carbon in the environment. Our cars are running with AC consuming more fuel & many are traveling by car to offices and they get stuck in traffic jams with their ACs ON and their exhaust fumes are being released into the environment. I don't see any breakthrough coming where we switch from coal to renewables soon nor are we close to fusion nuclear energy. Next 10 years summers will get more intense. How does this not worry our people? Or are we waiting till the problem starts affecting our daily or personal lives ?
