I got tired of spending hours managing social media, so I started building my own solution

A few months ago I realized I was spending more time managing social media than actually building things.

Writing posts.
Researching competitors.
Checking trends.
Doing outreach manually.

And somehow every tool only solved one small part of the problem.

So I started building GrowlyAI.

The idea wasn’t to make another “AI content generator”, but something that actually helps handle the repetitive side of growing online.

Right now it can help with:

outreach
competitor research
trend analysis
social post generation
organizing workflows

Still very early and improving every day, but we finally opened the waitlist to start getting real feedback from actual users.

Curious what people here think honestly:

I think the AI hype is starting to wear off for a lot of people

Every week there’s a new “revolutionary” AI tool.

Most of them look insane in demos for 30 seconds… then you try using them in actual work and somehow end up doing even more manual fixing than before.

Feels like people are starting to care less about “AI magic” and more about:
“does this actually save me time or not?”

Honestly curious if others feel the same lately or if I’m just too deep into this space now.

I’ve been building an AI system focused on actually removing repetitive work instead of creating more of it.

Early access is open here if you want to get in before launch:

What’s the most “this should not need a human anymore” task in your workflow?

Not the fun work.
The annoying repetitive stuff you keep doing because nothing handles it properly yet.

Feels like half of modern work is just copying, rewriting, following up, updating things, and moving info between apps.

What’s the one task that makes you think:
“how is this still manual in 2026?”

Late night coding, coffee in hand, and somehow everything feels a bit smoother.

Do you think coffee really helps with focus and problem solving, or is it just part of the vibe?

I’ve basically been surviving on coffee while finishing the AI project I’ve been building lately

Feels like most AI tools are great at demos and terrible at real workflows.

A lot of them look impressive for 5 minutes, then you realize you still have to do half the work yourself.

What’s the biggest thing current AI tools still get wrong in your opinion?

Getting close to launch now, so I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

There’s a waitlist link in my profile if you want to follow the launch. I’m building this around actual day-to-day workflows, not just flashy demos.

Not testing it for fun.
Not trying it once.
I mean actually using it every week.

What would it need to do for you to trust it enough to rely on it?

That’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot while building mine.

If you’re curious, the waitlist link is in my profile. That’s where this kind of AI will be live soon.

Day 3 of posting until launch.

Most people are not short on ideas.

They are short on time, focus, and energy for all the repetitive stuff.

That is exactly what I built this around.

Waitlist is here if you want early access:

Most people don’t need another AI tool.

They need something that actually does the work for them.

So for the last 3 months, I’ve been building GrowlyAI with @alyrelative

Today it entered final testing phase and we’re opening the waitlist.

GrowlyAI handles:
- content ideas
- posting
- outreach
- and a lot more of the boring and repetitive stuff that will be handled by your AI assistant

So you don’t have to.

If you’re building or managing socials, this might save you hours every week.
