I had surgery on Friday, and am in so much pain. I haven’t been able to sleep more than an hour at a time, and am really struggling. I called to see if I could get medication, and the surgeon said to go to emergency if I’m still in pain and need more pain meds…this feels unnecessary right now (and I don’t feel like I can wait hours in the emergency room), but it sucks. I can eat normally thankfully.

Does anyone have any advice about managing? What can I do to help the pain? How should I sleep? I’ve tried a recliner and a bed but neither feel very tolerable.
