Where are we heading with this AI stuff in medicine ? Is AI going to make doctors more lazy or give better treatment to patients ?

Automation Bias: A 2025 study on endoscopists found that doctors using AI to find polyps actually got worse at finding them manually. When the AI was turned off, their detection rates dropped by 20%. They had subconsciously outsourced their "vigilance" to the software.

Would you rather see a tired human doctor who does everything manually, or a well-rested doctor who lets an AI do 80% of the thinking?

What’s your personal take—if you were the patient, would you trust a doctor more if they told you the AI 'confirmed' their diagnosis, or would that make you feel like they weren't doing their job?
