When Rafael was 12 his 18 year old sister Lucia was cut off from her family by her highly abusive 27 year old boyfriend Markus. Rafael comes and visits her 9 whole years later while he isn’t home to free her. While they’re speedily moving her out she recounts some of the abuse that her boyfriend Markus put her through (Physical, verbal, sexual, the whole nine yards.) at one point before they leave Markus gets home while they pack. He hits Lucia and she promptly walks out the door, unable to cry as quote “her tears have all dried up.” This leaves Markus and Rafael alone. Rafael eventually decides that 9 years of endless abuse is 9 years too many and *rips Markus’s heart out of his chest.*
