Mathematical Applications in Economics and Finance Specialist worth it?

Hi, I'm a first year in-stream computer science student, and I came across this program that seemed interesting to me. I'm not entirely sure whether I want to get into SWE after my undergrad, and I might be interested in some finance/management related field, maybe even IB. Grad school is also an option but I'm not too sure about that.

Anyways, here are my questions:

  1. If you have any experiences with this major, do you believe its worth it? I'm fairly good at maths, but have almost no economics experience (i did AP Micro), but I am ready to work hard if it truly is worth it.

  2. Do you believe it's good to complement this field with computer science? I don't have any plans to drop my cs major, so I'm likely going to be doing this spec with the cs major, which I do understand is a lot of work.
