Hi everyone! I’m a huge JDM fan from Italy, and I’m currently trying to navigate the absolute nightmare that is the Italian DMV to finally import an Honda Acty HA4 (4WD Facelift).
Here is my problem: before I even buy the truck and put it on a ship, my local registration agency wants to see exactly what an official Japanese Export Certificate (Yushutsu Massho Toroku Shomeisho) looks like and what data fields it actually contains.
Because they are not familiar with Kei trucks, they are telling me that if the Japanese papers don't have enough technical data, I will be forced to hire a special "external engineer" for a standalone inspection that costs around €2,500! 😭
Could any HA4 owner be so incredibly kind as to share a picture or a PDF scan of their Export Certificate? (Please black out your VIN, name, address, and any personal/sensitive info!). If there is any European owner here who also has a TÜV Datenblatt or a similar official spec sheet for the HA4, that would be an absolute lifesaver too.
I just need to show the agency the standard template to prove them how it works, so they can give me the green light to proceed with my dream import.
