So I’ve been on wegovy through Oviva since December. I’ve lost just over 40lbs (18.4kg) but it’s only because I’ve been puking almost nonstop since starting. I was on 1.7 but because my symptoms got even worse, last month they dropped me back down to 1mg. Despite the drop, my symptoms got worse still so last week they told me I had to stop taking it completely and not to go on any weight loss medication until some investigations have been done. I’ve asked my gp if there’s any possible way to prescribe mounjaro but of course their hands are tied as I’m (somehow) not diabetic.

I feel like I’m kind of screaming into the void because these past few months have been hell. I guess I just want to ask you all if the grass really is greener on the other side? Last year I saw a gynaecologist who said that I needed to be put on either mounjaro or wegovy for my PCOS and I just wish my gp had the ability to prescribe mounjaro for me based on that. It looks like my only choice is to start buckling down on my budgeting so I can set back the money each month to buy mounjaro cos I don’t see any other option at this point.

Sorry for the vent but hopefully I can get started on mounjaro soon and see results that don’t involve puking 3-5 times a day!
