Over breakfast yesterday my wife mentioned wanting to grow veggies in large pots on part of our deck. So I dutifully ran over to Home Depot. While there, I started chatting with a couple of 70-80 year olds wandering the garden area and one of them asked me if I was retired...

When my youngest refused to believe I grew up in color and not black and white I laughed. When my tween daughter's friend we were giving a ride home to had never heard of Smashing Pumpkins I used it as a teachable moment. Having a boomer ask me if I'm retired cut me deep.

Does anyone know where I can find a front porch with rocking chair and some Bartles and Jaymes?
