Hi, a few days ago i found a video on Instagram about a DIY AMS system for the A1 that uses 3D-printed gears and (I guess) a custom G-code.
Here’s how it works:
- move the print head to the top position;
- the gear on the print head engages with the one on the top aluminum rail;
- the extruder’s stepper motor drives the gears and retracts the filament;
- it moves the print head to another gear and does the same thing in reverse;
I have no idea who designed this system, and I haven't found anything about it online. Unfortunately, I didn't liked the video so I can't find it in my IG activity.
Do you know the name of the guy or do you have the link of the video/profile?
