Can I do a roadtrip of 1500 miles with a car that need a wheel alignment ?

I know I probably sound stupid asking this but I'd rather know than stay in the dark.

Went to the garage for the annual checkup but learned I need to change tires and brake pads. No big deal, usual annual checkup but my mechanic told me one tire was severely used because of wheel alignment. Friday, he's gonna change the brake pads and tires but he told me he couldn't do the wheel alignment unfortunately.

I know it's good to do an alignment when you get new tires, but needing an alignment, can I still drive for a while with them with no issue/major issue ?

I was supposed to go for a roadtrip this weekend to visit family in another state, should I cancel this ? I know I could still drive technically, but with the price of rubber, I don't want to ruin brand new tires for no reason.
