I'm an American who has been obsessed with Brazilian Funk for a while, I know it gets hate but I love it and appreciate the artistry of creating these jams that make me want to shake ass. Anyway, I wanted to 'sing' along to this song -- Montagem Alquima-- so I looked up the lyrics and tried to figure out the sound phonetically since unfortunately I don't speak Portuguese:
Then I decided to look up the meaning of the lyrics in English... And laughed hysterically when I realized I've been singing "SHE FUCKS, FUCKS, FUCKS, FUCKS ON THE DZ7 / FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK..."
Amazing. To Portuguese speakers, do the lyrics sound goofy or does it hit right in the context? I imagine opinions vary like they do for vulgar English songs. I did see that another website translated "fode" as "gets down" for this song.
Anyway, it was fun to speak some kind of Portuguese. Will have to try to learning some of it for real, as there is are many Brazilians where I live. Much love from America.
