I want to discuss the following observation I made on the Keto diet:
When I eat in a calorie deficit with the usual <=2g/kg of protein, my muscles quickly look flat and thin.
But when I eat 3g/kg of protein (240g at 80kg in my case), my muscles stay full. Why is that?
The obvious explanation is gluconeogenesis. But if it's a demand-driven process, why does my very high protein intake affect it?
Fiber and protein get a bad rep, but it's really carbohydrates and fruits that obliterate my stomach and make me poop 3+ times a day.
I'm currently on a high-fiber, high-protein keto diet, and my stomach hasn't been that calm in a long time.
I am convinced humans are not supposed to eat carbohydrates in large amounts. The fact that they rot our teeth is another indicator.
