So we’re moving across the country and will be without our stuff for roughly 2 weeks while it gets shipped. Obviously this will include our tegus enclosure.
What would you guys suggest for a good temporary enclosure for him?
I think on the actual drive I was going to use a cat carrier with pee pads. Let me know if you think that’s a good idea too.

My family is moving across the country. We have 5 snakes, a tegu, and a gargoyle gecko. We’re actually moving because my husband got a job with a snake breeder so we’re huge snake people!
We found what we thought was a great renting option. But the landlord is being so weird about us having snakes. She seems convinced the snakes are going to escape and terrorize the neighborhood 😂 We’ve ultimately decided this will not be the place for us, for a multitude of other reasons. But wow, I couldn’t believe how prejudice and scared she was about us having snakes!
We’ve been spoiled these last 6 years with a landlord who never checked on us. We did find a house that I really like and they didn’t even ask about caged animals, so that’ll probably be the winner. Anyone else struggle to find somewhere to rent because of reptiles?
