Crandall Clove Currant sun requirements in 7b Georgia?

I've got 2 crandalls that I'll be planting this year in my yard and I'm wondering about sun requirements. I've tried to grow gooseberries in my yard but they always end up getting too hot. I know clove currants grow wild west of me over in middle Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas where it's pretty hot so they'll probably be much more heat tolerant but I'm still wanting to make sure about sun and hear. I can either put them out in full sun or along the back where there's evening shade.

So I've just got ahold of some Keteleeria evelyniana seed harvested last fall and I was wondering if anyone on here has had experience growing it. I see so many conflicting things online. The biggest one is with some sites saying to stratify for a month and some saying it doesn't need it at all. At this point it's already May so I'd like to get it planted as soon as possible but I'll wait a month if I really have to
