I’m considering applying for PhD at CSE, have did all my education at Chennai, Private institutions.
I wanted to understand:

1. How is the research culture and guidance from supervisors, Is there micromanagement or freedom?
2. Stipend sufficiency in Chennai, what kind of work expectations are typically tied to the stipend (TA/RA responsibilities)?
3. Any R&D / industry role opportunities after PhD ?
4. What are the publication expectations, typically how long does students take to complete and submit their thesis here?
