Typhoon, Prelatis, Lackland, Ptolemy, Waver

I have made a post before about how I felt Lackland a bit lackluster, but I have since then learned how to better utilize him.

Now, onto the real topic: This Fake Strange Banner is REALLY stacked.

Not everyone can pull for most characters on the banner, but there are two types of people who can: Whales and Beginners who farm the story like slaves.

Now, assuming you managed to summon the four characters mentioned, you essentially have a self-sustaining ecosystem of characters that complement each other (maybe not to the heights of what a Koyanskaya/Castoria with Oberon can do, but still pretty good).

Aside from Waver (who is really more of a nice to have in the team), everyone is an attacker and a support, and those buffs feel really nice on two team cores.

Assuming you have 3 ces that give 50% initial charge (or some Crystallization of Winter) , you can get the whole party to 100 with two skills (typhoon third and Francois second).

Now, for buffs.

TYPHOON:

self - 20% attack and 20% buster and 30% charge

Party - 20% attack and 15 stars and 20% charge

Target - 30% crit - 2 stage overcharge - cooldown reduction 1.

LACKLAND:

self - 20% attack and 30% charge

Party - 20% attack and 20% crit and 1k to 2k heals after np.

Target - 30% buster, cooldown reduction 1 and 30% charge

PRELATIS (starting Francois into Francesca):

self - 30% arts.

Party - 30% NP damage and 30% charge and invincibility, and immunity for three turns, and debuffs clearing for allies, and 100% debuffs removal resist.

Enemy - 40% stun chance each turn for three turns, 20% np resist down.

PTOLEMY:

Self - 30% np damage up and 80% charge

Party - 20% attack and 1k heal and 15 stars per turn and 20% buster and 20% arts and 20% crit resist

As for what you can do with this party and a plugsuit, you effectively can have the potential to stun the enemy for 3 turns (3 from prelatis and 1 from plugsuit) with 1 turn of invincibility and you can hit most mechanics in the game (evasion, invincibility, defense) and, if that were not enough, you can hit harder against lawful, neutral and chaotic depending on buff choice.

In a single rotation, you are hitting for (not counting ce and with variation on who you choose to target the skills and assuming you start with lackland):

Wave 1:

LACKLAND - 40% attack + 30% buster + 30% np damage + 40% np damage (20 from his traits and another 20 from typhoon and prelatis who are evil)

Wave 2:

PRELATI - 60% attack + 50% arts + 30% Np damage up

Wave 3

TYPHOON -

60% attack + 40% buster(or 70 if you targeted her with Lackland) + 30% np damage + 2 stage overcharge

OR

PTOLEMY -

40%attack + 20% buster/arts + 30% np damage.

Now, if you wanted to separate the card types, you have two teams, arts and buster. Add Xu fu in the arts team and boom!

Is this a reality everyone can achieve? No. Is it fun? Yes. Can a new player not have to worry about future pulls and get who they want with this? Yes.

Is John Lackland actually weak or what?

So, I have an NA account, but I started a JP account. I am using the following team available to me:

John - Typhoon - Iyo - Prelati - Waver -

Now, I know that's not optimal, but it's what I have at the moment, and I maxed all Johns skills and the first and third skill on Typhoon, so I'm breezing through the main story and finished the event.

Thing is, John just hits like a wet towel. Like, on NA, my Kama Avenger and my Ushi Gozen hit relatively hard, even without support, but John is just there, and he should be hitting hardish since Iyo has King and Evil traits, and Typhoon has Evil, and John himself is king and evil, so the NP should be strong.

Am I misunderstanding how he works? If anything I am using him to support Typhoon at this point, and I don't know if I trust him in harder content later on.

Hey, just dropping by to share my deck. I was trying to find a way to make Flygon work, and I wasn't having much success with that Jumpluff deck, so I decided to give Magnezone a go. It's been going surprisingly well in Random Battle, which allowed me to reach a 7 win streak, though I lost to a really slow start against Magmortar/Electivire of all things.
