Three Bridges Egg Bites are a skip for me in the future.

I've been meaning to make this post for a while. I bought the four pack of these back in March because they're low calorie and high in protein for a quick breakfast.

Every time I cook these, they're literally waterlogged. I have tried with and without the paper sleeve, in the microwave, in the toaster oven, in the air fryer. Why are they so wet!? I have to drain them then cook them for longer just so they aren't mushy.

Definitely not making their way into my cart again.

Anyone have a banking recommendation for someone just starting out?

My friend and I have had an opportunity fall into our lap to take over a profitable business for basically inventory costs, which are very low. Problem is that the business is very cash heavy and equipment to expand is expensive so I need a small business bank that meets a few specific requirements.

  1. Ideally fee-free business checking with minimum hoops to jump through to keep the account fee-free. We probably won't have a lot of capital sitting around doing nothing so finding something that isn't depending on minimum daily balances or specific number of transactions would be nice.

  2. We need physical locations to deposit cash. It can be some ATM network or at the bank teller window, as long as I can deposit into the account.

  3. A 'nice to have' would be a bank that offers a business line of credit for when we start to expand. A lot of business LOC's I've seen have specific term periods and maintenance fees, making them less than desirable. I would prefer a LOC over a credit card for the ease of accessing cash, but a business Visa or Mastercard would do in a pinch.

I currently have accounts (checking, savings, credit cards) with Wells Fargo, Capital One, Citi, and Navy Federal Credit Union. None of their products are particularly good for someone just starting out. BlueVine has been mentioned to me but they don't offer loan products in Nevada. I also prefer to stick with traditional banks and credit unions, staying away from unproven startups and fintechs masquerading as banks.

Any recommendations?

Vintage Kate Mulgrew commercial

Here I am thinking if there’s a problem with the phone, she should really have Torres take a look.

I also like the part where if your phone isn’t working, they tell you to call them toll free. 🤣

What can I do with these unfinished drywall edges in the garage?

I'm currently in the process of a new build and I'm trying to figure out how to make this look decent. After closing, the walls will be textured (builder wanted $5K to do it) and an epoxy floor coating will be installed. There's a 1/2 inch gap between the concrete and drywall all around the garage.

There's no lip on the concrete, it's flush with the drywall, so any trim piece is is going to stick out. I was thinking maybe someone makes some type of thin L or J trim (or even a T) with a channel that I can slide between the concrete and drywall? Any recommendations for products?

My builder sent me an email today, trying to get me to attend a closing three weeks before the date I am contracted for. The reason we pushed my closing out as far as we could is so my lease ends on my apartment two weeks after my first mortgage payment is due. If I have to move my closing up, that's going to be a $3,500 mortgage payment due three days before my last month ($2,500) of rent will be due. OUCH to my wallet.

I have emails and signed documents stating that my closing date is June 30. I have emailed the builder back and told them as much, and that they need to adjust their timeline accordingly. That should be all I need to do, and that should be the end of it, right?
