Any Tips on Macros w/ the Mini Extreme ISO G2 for Chroma Key w/ 3 Cameras?
I have attempted to post this question on the BlackmagicDesign forum, and cannot even get my post published, nor communication with an administrator. Hoping one if you guys can lend some info…
I just bought a Mini Extreme ISO G2, and am trying to set up a quick switching macro for the following… but I apparently don’t understand how the switch works. (This is actually my first ATEM switcher.)
So I have 3 cameras, 2 people in an interview setting, in front of green screens. Camera 1 for person 1. Background is also edited for this camera angle. Camera 2 -> person 2, and separate dedicated background. Camera 3 is full, wide view, and its own dedicated background.
I am able to figure out how to get the foreground keyed; that’s not the issue. I can also get the background going behind the keyed foreground, and tweak it for noise, etc.
My real problem is figuring out how to write a macro such that I can transition quickly between the 3 cameras/backgrounds without winding up with overlapping keyed scenes. Is there a macro command, for example that will turn all keys off-air, without specifically pressing the same button again? (I don’t know ahead of time, the order of switching I’ll need to do.)
The manual for this thing it not great. The have 1 manual for ALL the Mini models, and they seem to have left out a lot of info about the new one.
Thanks.
