Finally got my BSc Politics & Economics offer but missed the scholarship deadline, any advice?

Hey everyone, really happy to finally be joining this community but also in a bit of a stressful situation and hoping someone here might have some insight.

I'm an international student from Turkey and just received my LSE undergrad offer on May 6th. The problem is the LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme and Uggla scholarship deadlines both passed before my offer even arrived, so I was literally unable to apply for the only financial aid available to me as an overseas student. I've already emailed the financial support office making this case, but they haven't replied back yet. So, I'm trying to explore every other way I can think of.

A few things I'd love to know from anyone with experience or in the same situation as me:

  • Has anyone ever successfully appealed for late financial support consideration due to a late offer? Any idea if LSE has done this before?
  • Are there any funding sources for international students at LSE that aren't widely advertised — departmental funds, alumni donors, anything like that?
  • Does anyone know if there's an active LSE Turkish Society or Turkish alumni network that might be worth reaching out to?
  • Does the Politics & Economics department have any discretionary funds or contacts worth reaching out to directly?

I have until 3 June to decide and Bocconi with a full scholarship is my alternative, so the stakes are pretty real. Any help means a lot to me rn. 🙏🙏🙏
