24M, 5'6" (1.68m), started at 315 lbs (143 kg), currently 306 lbs (139 kg).

I’ve struggled with my weight for years, especially since the pandemic. I became very sedentary, lost confidence, and eventually reached my highest weight.

I’ve tried dieting, the gym, and even weight loss medication before, but I always ended up quitting.

Recently, something personal happened that hit my confidence hard and made me realize I need to change my life for real this time.

I’ve now started walking daily, controlling portions, and being more mindful with food. I’m down 9 lbs so far, which I know is probably not all fat, but it’s still motivating.

For people who started around 300+ lbs:

What helped you stay consistent long-term? Any advice for appetite control, body image, loose skin, or mentally pushing through when motivation fades?

I genuinely want this to be the time I finally change my life.
