I've recently joined an Equity Research firm and all we do is research mid-cap firms and pull their financials, transcripts, RHP, etc.

The thing is I HATE IT!

I like doing financial modeling and creating DCF models and forecasting.

I don't know what to do since I'm already committed to CFA and I enjoy this thing but I don't know where this can convert into Financial Modeling.

I know IB and PE have it but what about in CFA? I'm just having an existential crisis because now I don't know why I'm even doing CFA in the first place?
