Swimming Pool construction Subs/ Problems with General Contractors
Hello,
I started my company in 2021. Since then, I have met some of the scummiest people I have ever met in my life. They all happen to be the owners of swimming pool companies, since that is the industry I'm in. To be clear, MOST of the owners I've worked with I wouldn't consider scummy and some are great people I'd consider friends. I've lost companies to work for, simply for asking them to pay me. I, of course, didn't say it like that, I kept it professional. Eventually, I had to turn up the aggressiveness because the invoices were going months without payment. I'd finally get paid and then never hear from them again. When I started, I started at too low of a price to continue paying my bills and quickly had to raise my prices, which also lost me some contractors.
I'm really just posting to hear other peoples stories and hopefully build a network here in AZ and try to save my business. Anyone in AZ working in the swimming pool industry?
