I've been developing my own Linux distribution, building and developing it for almost a year, and using Debian and a live build for maybe six months. I have a problem: I can't log in despite providing the default live username and password. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? I've only changed the hostname os-release in the "after packages" section of /etc. I don't know what the problem might be. I'm using a live build, but I'm also using the default live build.
